My mission is to combine a delicious, exceptionally delicate cake with the design customized to your unique vision.
I have many fond childhood memories in a kitchen helping my grandmother with her catering business. But, I never had a vision of going into the industry myself. It wasn't until the birth of my first child when I realized I didn't want to be in the corporate world, but in my home raising a family. And in 2008, that is what led to the creation of Kayla Knight Cakes. I remain a small custom bake shop, which allows me to create fresh cakes and grant personal attention to every couple. But, more importantly, it affords me the opportunity to create my own work/life balance. I love being a small business owner, but I am a mom, a wife, and a servant of Christ first. My favorite past time is making fresh bread and scratch dinners at night. As a family, we love to travel and explore new places together. And my all-time favorite verse comes from Matthew 5:14-15, "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house."

Assistants
My assistants help deliver, assemble, and adorn your cake on your wedding day while making sure every last detail is in place. You may also see them at Wedding Shows, Open Houses, and other Events. All staff have passed a background check and have been trained by Kayla personally.
