The cake that is! If sparkle is your thing - you have bling on your dress, bling in your centerpieces, bling on your bridesmaids, why not put bling on your cake too? ![]() Stephanie and Warner rang in the New Year by saying, "I Do!" Stephanie's theme was sophisticated contemporary. The room was filled with silvers and whites and sparkle! It was beautiful! Her cake was a simple smooth cake, but it was dressed up with lots of pizzazz! We covered her entire cake in edible glitter. The whole cake shined and sparkled as light reflected off of it. To add a little more detail to the cake she chose to place simple rhinestones around the center of the cake! How's that for elegant! The top of her cake was adorned by an "S" she made herself to reflect the newlywed's last name and was surrounded by the a floral topper created by the very talented, Craig, of Photosynthesis. Click on the photos for larger images! Do you like bling and sparkle? This might be a design to consider for your wedding cake? So, what kind of theme's are bride's wanting in 2013! Well, so far, I love the designs that bride's are coming up with this year! There are two trends that seem to be real popular for spring and summer weddings. The first is the rustic burlap theme! The second is romantic vintage! The rustic burlap theme is great for outdoor and casual weddings. The rustic charm creates a comfortable and casual, yet still elegant presentation for any wedding! Vintage romantic is probably my favorite! I love all the flowers, candles, and string of pearls. Large floral centerpieces with flowing pearls or diamonds give the room an elegant and formal presentation. Flowers cascading down a cake soften any cake and give it that warm vintage feel!
Well, it came and it went! The January Bridal Extravaganza was a huge success! I loved meeting all the great bride's and hearing their ideas; as well as catching up with other vendors I don't get to see as often as I'd like. Make sure you don't miss the next show on June 2nd! It's that time of year again, for the 2 day Bridal Extravaganza! This year David Tutera will be joining us for our Saturday fashion show!! I'm sure you have the same thoughts as many other bride's out there...over 200 vendors! Thousands of brides! Can we say, overwhelming! Excited bride's walk into a room filled with a sea of booths! I would like to share with you a few tricks to help you get the most out of the Extravaganza, and have a great time! Because planning a wedding should be fun, not stressful.
