 Pictures of cakes are everywhere! And I love most of them!! I'm sure you do too. So, how to you choose your cake through all the many options? Well, it's actually quite simple.
First things first, what is the style of your wedding? Is it contemporary, rustic, vintage? Weed out any designs that don't fit into the category of your theme. Then look at your venue and colors. Is your venue more basic or is it full of color and decoration? If your venue has a lot of personality, you may want a more simple design. If you venue is more of a blank slate then you can dress it up with lots of details on the cake. Weed out any designs that don't fit with the design of the venue. Same with color. Look at the color around the room. If you are using colored linens and floral arrangements, you definitely want a white cake. If not, maybe add a pop of color to your cake. Do you have lace or rhinestones in your wedding. Incorporate those into your cake and look at cakes with those accents. Once you've done these things then compare and contrast the cakes you like. Choose your favorite 3-4 designs and bring them to your baker. Y'all can discuss them and she can help you pick that one perfect cake!
