Rustic Themed Weddings

Rustic themed weddings are extremely popular, especially among Texas brides!  There are so many venues that resemble elegant barns or beautiful green pastures where bride's can hold a classy, yet rustic themed wedding.  Here are a few tips to create a beautiful rustic wedding cake: 

One of the best ways to incorporate a rustic look to your wedding cake is to use burlap.  Alternating burlap and a scroll will give a cake a rustic, yet soft feel.  Add a little twine bow for a feminine touch and you have a beautiful, yet rustic cake!

Burlap and pearls are another great way to get the feminine, yet rustic look for a wedding cake!  The small pearls atop the burlap are a great details alongside a pretty scroll.

Another option for a rustic wedding cake is the naked cake.  Choose a darker cake, like the spice cake, to give the cake a darker more rustic color.  The buttercream seeping out of the tiers will give it a disheveled look and then finish the cake off with your favorite garnish!
