Although the Texas weather isn't reflecting it yet, fall is here! The weather will soon be cooling off, pumpkins are starting to make their debut at the grocery stores, and the darkness of night is coming earlier. Fall is here!
I don't know about you, but I love fall. I love the smells of spice and pumpkin. I love the crisp weather and deep shades of reds, oranges, and yellows. I love fall weddings too! Here are a few ideas to incorporate the season into your wedding: Consider an outdoor ceremony. The weather can be perfect for outside weddings right now. So, take advantage of the opportunity! Incorporate seasonal items in your decorations - pumpkins, apples, leaves, and nuts make beautiful centerpieces and decorations. When done correctly, it can look (and smell) simply divine! Use fall colors and flowers that are in season - the bold colors pop amongst the neutral soft table cloths. Using flowers that are in season are not only gorgeous, but less expensive since they are readily available. So you went to the Bridal Extravaganza last weekend! You saw every vendor, smelled every flower, tasted every cake and meal service...maybe even won a grand prize? Now what? With all the wedding info overload how in the world do you even begin to process it? It's actually quite easy, just follow these steps:
Football season is here! If you or your fiance is anything like my family, life is planned around football! For the football obsessed groom, or bride, you can still have a great wedding and celebrate your love of football in your wedding! Groom's cakes are a fun way to do that! A groom can celebrate his favorite team with his cake! The groom above incorporated the Redskins in his cake with an edible image. Then, we found little helmets and a large helmet to complete the look! Another cute idea is to make a field! Include delicious chocolate covered strawberries as players on the field! 100% edible! 100% delicious! 100% football! If you want something a little more simple and not quite so over-the-football-top, try a smooth design with your team mascot!
