I often have bride's ask what exactly happens during a consultation. Well, a lot happens. Fist, if you have any photos or colors you want to incorporate into your cake it's always a good idea to bring them along. As a visual person, it really helps me get an idea of the theme of your wedding.
Fall Wedding Ideas
I think fall weddings probably have to be my favorite! I love everything about them! Cooler weather, bright orange and deep red floral colors, pumpkin or leaf decorations. Subtle lighting! They are absolutely beautiful! Please enjoy a collection of fall photos I have gathered. Hopefully a few might inspire some ideas for some upcoming weddings! Please note, the following images are not taken by me, nor are they my designs/ideas. Please click on the image to view credit information.
Some fun ways to incorporate pumpkins into your centerpieces!
And the bold colors! I love the idea of putting some flowers in buckets going down the aisle. What a cute idea for a not too formal outdoor wedding!
Fredericksburg's Hidden Treasure!
Having a weekend job, sometimes it's hard to find the time to getaway with your family, especially when your husband has a more traditional 9-5 M-F job. However, as our boys are getting bigger we have learned to take advantage of the few weekends we have available! Thanks to my Father-In-Law we recently stumbled across our newest little short stay getaway spot...The Wine Country Jellystone Camp Resort in Fredericksburg, TX! What a relaxing place. Sissy and her husband (along with their children) are the owners of this campsite and they are the sweetest people! We had a blast relaxing in our cabin, swimming, shopping in town, and just spending time together! Whether you have kids already or not, it's the perfect little place to escape for a few days!
Bridal Extravaganza Bliss!
What fun we had today! The Bridal Extravaganza was a huge hit! We met so many wonderful brides with dates ranging from this November (better get a move on girls...lol) to weddings well into 2014! Quite a wide range! Demand for samples ran high as we ran out of cake 2 hours before the show ended! Guess that mean's we had better make more for next time. Check out the photos of us chatting it up, answering questions, and scheduling consultations! If you didn't get a chance to schedule one give us a call (512-869-9807) as time slots are filling up fast!
If you weren't able to make it out to today's show make sure you don't miss the next one on January 5th, 2013! There will be a guest appearance by David Tutera of "My Fair Wedding" on WE TV!!!
Kayla grew up in the wedding industry and has grown to love all things wedding. Please enjoy reading her thoughts and experiences as she continues to walk in family tradition.
