I don't know about y'all, but I absolutely love the Bridal Extravaganza! All the energy, the music, the vendors, the food! It's a fantastic way for brides to meet many wedding professionals in person and compare their work at the same time. Check out this video of the an Extravaganza fashion show!!! If it doesn't get you pumped, I don't know what will! The next Bridal Extravaganza is on January 5th and 6th with a guest appearance by the very talented David Tutera. There are so many creative ways to add personal touches to your wedding cake! Michelle and Russel love penguins and were able to include them into their bride and groom's cake! Michelle chose something simple and elegant for her cake. A simple smooth ivory buttercream with purple and blue sugar orchids and white sugar roses gently cascaded down the side of her cake! It was perfect for her Sunday afternoon garden ceremony and reception. She matched the bride's cake with the groom's by adding her little penguin cake toppers! I love their inspiration for the groom's cake. Russel loves books. They decided to title their book based on their love of penguins, then incorporate two kissing penguins. Notice that their beaks make a heart? The design that runs from the spine of the book underneath the penguins was actually inspired by a henna design that Michelle found! I always love to research and study and find out why we have certain traditions and rituals. Here are a few fun facts about wedding cakes I recently came across:
