A Natural Wedding Cake
I cannot begin to tell you how much I love this cake! I just love everything about it! Alyssa and David married at Pecan Springs Ranch on a gorgeous fall day. This indoor/outdoor venue was the perfect setting for their celebration. With the setting being very natural...acres of trees, wildflowers, and a flowing creek it was only fitting that they choose a cake just as organic as the scenery.
Alyssa chose a design I like to call my horizontal textured design. I love this pattern because it's classic and versatile. By making minor changes in adornments, this cake can transform into multiple looks and themes. To tie the design in with her theme she circled each tier of her cake with some fresh greenery. And for a pop of color, a little lavender. Not only did the cake look divine, but that lavender made it smell heavenly.
And the taste was even better! Her melt-in-your mouth French Vanilla cake with Cream Cheese filling is a light and flavorful dessert to kick off the rest of the celebration!
