Spring and Summer are quickly approaching! And weddings during this time are known for their color! Bright, vibrant colors fill ceremony sites and reception venues. I've often heard brides say, "the brighter the better!" And isn't that the truth! So what about adding color to the cake? How can you do that? There are many ways! A Ribbon Border: A popular way to add color on a cake is with a ribbon border. By adding a thin (or thick) layer of ribbon upon each tier you will elegantly create a little pop, a little wow factor on your cake! This color application is more simple and subtle, sleek. But it creates that perfect amount of color without going overboard. Sweet Color: Add color with icing! By using your wedding colors on your scroll, it makes the design on your cake pop, as well as tying in your wedding cake to the rest of your reception theme! Be Bold: Why be shy? Use your cake as a canvas to brightly showcase your wedding colors! It will surely be a conversation piece among your guests! One that not only is pleasing to the eye, but pleasing to the palate too. Soft Flowers: The most traditional way to incorporate color is by adding fresh flowers to your cake! This is one of my personal favorites. By adding a few or a lot, flowers can bring a cake to life! Their soft touch elegantly creates just the right amount of color, while keeping with the traditional white cake. Want to add color to your cake, but not sure how? Let's set up a consultation! Together, we can talk about different options and find the perfect look for your wedding cake.
