Groom's Cake Alternatives

I often hear couples say that they would still like a dessert specific for the grooms cake, but the groom doesn't like cake.  Or maybe they don't want a lot of cake.  Or perhaps they want other dessert options for their guests.  A special dessert treat for the groom doesn't have to be a traditional cake.  You can still customize his favorite dessert just for him!

Jeremy loves his band, almost as much as he loves chocolate chip cookies!  So, why not pair the two for his wedding dessert!  Instead of a traditional grooms cake, he chose two chocolate chip cookie cakes.  One on cake we recreated his bass guitar from a photo he sent and on the other, his band's logo.  Now he has the best of both worlds!

Maybe you don't want a cookie cake, why not do a cookie assortment?  Or maybe a few of your favorites pies?  Brownie or lemon bars might be a nice touch too.  And cheesecakes always go over well!

Even though we are in the South where groom's cake are part of the wedding tradition, don't feel required to stick to the customary chocolate cake.  Branch out if you want.  There are tons of other dessert options that your guests will love and enjoy in addition to your beautiful and tasty brides cake!
