Let's Get Creative with Cake!

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of working with a young couple, Siera and Jordan, to create their one of a kind wedding cake!  Siera was having a peacock themed wedding and wanted a cake that fit the theme, but was still elegant and looked like a wedding cake.  After discussing several ideas we came up with a great concept!  A simple smooth cake, 4 tiers, to serve her 160 guests.  We dressed up the cake itself with a small rosette border for a little extra elegance.  Then, we went to work with the POP!  Siera chose a porcelain peacock topper (which actually isn't a topper, but something found online) and will be able to keep it as a reminder of the day she said "I Do!"  We then make fondant peacock feathers, of various sizes, and added some shimmer to them and cascaded them down the entire cake!  With over 80 feathers this peacock's tail was sure to please!  What ides do you have for your wedding cake?  Come on it and let's chat!  We can create a one of a kind cake for you too.
